Valerie’s house is strategically located by Lake Leman, within reasonable driving distance to many Swiss and French villages and cities such as Evian, Yvoire, Genève, Lausanne and Lyon. The surrounding area has plenty to see in every season, and you’ll find a very detailed guide and magazines inside the house. The flat itself is a well maintained, two-storey portion of a historic building (if you’re not familiar with French housing be aware that the toilet and bathroom are in different rooms). We only had some issues with the wi-fi signal not being very strong in the premises, but Valerie did her best to sort it out quickly. If you plan to cook you’ll find everything you need in a giant supermarket in the proximity, as the kitchen doesn’t include a seasoning kit as you might find in other properties on Airbnb (but it does have everything in terms of pottery and cutlery). We enjoyed our stay in Thonon and Valerie was very welcoming and caring both before and during our trip!
